About Flexbound

A workout notebook should remember more than a form allows.

Flexbound is an independent, notebook-first workout and nutrition app in development for iOS. It preserves the words a lifter writes, then builds structured history and deterministic coaching underneath them.

Why the product exists

Most workout trackers begin with their database. Pick an exercise, enter a load, enter reps, save the set. That works for clean data and loses the parts that do not fit a field: technique cues, equipment changes, food, pain, sleep, uncertainty, and the sentence explaining why the next session should change.

Paper notebooks keep that context and make analysis difficult. Flexbound keeps the notebook as the source of truth and treats parsing as a separate, reviewable layer. The raw journal entry is never rewritten by parsing or coaching.

Who publishes this site

Flexbound is published by Suolar. Product, methodology, and editorial questions can be sent tosuolaraketti@proton.me. The site does not claim medical authority and does not replace care from a qualified clinician, registered dietitian, or coach.

Editorial and sourcing standard

  1. Define the claim. A page should state what a term, formula, or rule means before arguing for it.
  2. Prefer primary sources. Methodology pages cite peer-reviewed research, consensus statements, clinical references, or official product documentation.
  3. Separate evidence from defaults. A population-level principle does not automatically justify one exact threshold.
  4. Show the calculation. Formulas and deterministic rules are printed when they affect a result.
  5. Keep the limits. Rep-range uncertainty, incomplete nutrition days, pain, and individual variation belong in the explanation.
  6. Date substantive review. Resource and comparison pages show when sources and product claims were last checked.

How comparison pages are handled

Comparisons use the other company’s official product pages, help center, or marketplace listing wherever possible. They state when the competitor is the better choice and avoid invented testing claims. Flexbound is pre-release, so the pages say so plainly. Product names belong to their respective owners; no comparison implies affiliation or endorsement.

Corrections

If a source has changed, a product feature is described incorrectly, or a methodology page overstates its evidence, email the page URL and the specific issue tosuolaraketti@proton.me. Verifiable corrections should change the page, not disappear into a private inbox.

What AI does here

AI may help draft and organize prose, but it is not treated as a source. Published factual claims require checkable references. In the product, AI is limited to writing and explanation over locked facts; it does not set calories, macros, training volume, estimated 1RM, progression, or entitlement decisions. Thefull decision contract documents that boundary.

Coming to iOS

A coach you can audit starts with pages you can check.

Flexbound is coming to iOS, TestFlight first. One email when it opens. Nothing else.
